Nebolsin, Anatoli Alekseevich (1934-2006)

Anatoli Nebolsin was born in 1934 in the village of Gorenskiye Vyselki in the Voronezh Region. He graduated from the Tashkent School of Art in 1959. In 1965, he received his master’s degree in painting at the Tashkent Art Institute in Uzbekistan. He painted landscapes and figurative compositions featuring traditional Russian culture. However, his specialty was seascapes. Nebolsin would travel to the coast for several months each year where he did many studies which served as references for other works to be painted back in his studio. He became a member of the Artist’s Union of the USSR in 1989. Tragically, in July 2006, Nebolsin died after being involved in a traffic accident. His works can be found in the Museum of Fine Arts in Bryansk, galleries in Bulgaria, Denmark and Germany as well as in private Russian and international collections.
