Vladimir Shchedrin was born in Voronezh in 1942 and educated in the town of Penza. He paints landscapes depicting varying moods, time of day, and seasons of the year. His style is usually soft and impressionistic. Every year, he goes to the Academy Dacha in the countryside outside Moscow to paint for two to three months. This is the source of many of his landscapes. His paintings have been exhibited in France, Germany, the United States and Russia. In addition, his paintings have also been published in a number of books and publications.
