Alexander Khoduk was born in Siberia in the Kurgansk Region in 1968. He graduated from the Kurgansk Professional Technical School with a degree that certified him as an artist-painter-decorator. That year he started school at the Sverdlovsk Art School and graduated in 1991 with a degree as an artist-designer. In 1992, he began his studies in the Graphics Department of the I.E. Repin Academy of Art, Sculpture, and Architecture in St. Petersburg. In 1997, he received an award for a series of engravings devoted to the 300th anniversary of Russian shipbuilding. Since 1995, he has been teaching at the Voronezh Art School for children and adults.
