Nikolai Troshchenkov was born in Kaluzhsky. In 1976, he completed art school in the town of Bendery, Moldovia. In 1985, he completed studies in the Theatrical School of Art in Odessa. From 1985-1991, he worked in opera houses in Voronezh. Since 1991, he has been an independent artist enjoying creating portraitures, landscape, and still life. His works have been published in many books and publications.
